O’Malley Ferries (Clare Island) Ltd., is a family-run business based on Clare Island, Co. Mayo. The O’Malley family are natives of Clare Island and have been seafarers for many generations.
We are descendants of Grace O’Malley (Granuaile), the legendary 16th-century pirate queen who lived by her family trade of piracy and plunder.
Three fully licensed ferries – the “Naomh Ciaran II”, the Tormore and the “True Light” – provide year-round links between the Mainland and Clare Island and Inishturk Co. Mayo.
