Slievemore
Slievemore located in Achill Island, is a very distinctive mountain, almost conical peak . It’s a steep-sided mix of grass and rock with no major difficulties although parts of the sharp ridge overlook plummeting cliffs, which could prove dangerous in bad weather. On a clear day there are magnificent views of Croaghan, the Inishkea islands and Belmullet peninsula, the Nephin Beg Mountain Range. Slievemore is popular for hiking and is best used from March until October.
